Thermal post combustion for a Conti kiln
As a sub-contractor Birk Company provides a thermal post combustion plant /thermal waste gas purification system to a long-standing customer of the automotive supply industry via a renowned industrial furnace builder. The incinerator /air purification system was designed for a volume flow of crude gas of 40 kg/h from the waste gases of a carbonizing process. The plant is equipped with a special format of crude gas supply responding to the limited space at the installation site. Responding to the customer´s high requirements on
operational safety and plant availability many system components are performed according to the high standards of SIL classification which ensures a high level of protection for the staff as well as a high level of stability in the process. In order also to satisfy the customer´s high requirements on minimized noise emissions the post combustion plant is equipped with an extended package of measures for the reduction of noise emissions which includes amongst others the second generation low-dB sound absorbing booths at the fans. These measures will ensure a total noise emission of less than 65 dB at the post combustion.
The plant is fitted out with an entire protection against accidental contact in the area of the combustion chamber casing. This was designed in perforated plate and gives the plant an expensive appearance coupled with the protective function. The scope of supply also included the feeing and conduction of crude gas with bypass function, a platform construction to install the post combustion plant including service platform above the kiln, as well as the clean gas conduction via industrial chimney system. The plant is created as a compact design, making it ready for use, i.e. comes fully installed electrical and mechanical.
The complete control, regulation and supervision is assumed by a fail-safe Siemens S7F- control which has been equipped with an user-friendly visualization with touch-screen function.
